1. What We Collect
When you use StealthFlights, we may collect:
- Account information: Email address, name (if provided), and password when you create an account
- Search activity: Routes you search, destinations you view, and deals you click on
- Preferences: Home airport, preferred currency, airline preferences, and notification settings
- Device information: Browser type, device type, and approximate location (from IP address) for currency detection
- Deal interaction data: We track which deals you view and which booking links you click to improve deal rankings and personalize recommendations
- Activity profile: We build a summary of your preferences (preferred airlines, destinations, trip length, booking times) from your search and click activity to personalize deal recommendations
- Anonymized IP: We create a one way hash of your IP address for deduplication and fraud prevention. We do not store your raw IP address
2. How We Use Your Data
- Show you relevant deals: Your home airport and search history help us surface deals from your city
- Daily deal emails: If you opt in, we send daily emails with the best deals from your home airport
- Price alerts: We notify you when prices drop on routes you're watching
- Improve the product: Anonymous usage data helps us understand which features work and what to build next
3. Cookies & Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how people use StealthFlights. This collects anonymous data like page views, session duration, and device type. We use a session cookie to keep you logged in, which is secure, HttpOnly, and expires after 30 days. We also store currency preferences. Your searches and deal clicks are logged to improve recommendations. This data is tied to your account if logged in, or anonymized if not. We do not use advertising cookies or sell your data to advertisers.
4. Third Parties
When you click on a deal, you are redirected to a third-party booking platform. At that point, their privacy policy applies:
- Skyscanner: Receives your route, dates, and passenger details to show booking options
- Aviasales: Same as above — route and travel details for search
We do not share your email, account data, or search history with these platforms.
5. Payments
Subscription payments are processed by Razorpay. We do not store your credit card or bank details. Razorpay handles all payment information securely under their own privacy policy and PCI compliance.
6. Data Retention
- Account data: Retained as long as your account is active
- Search history: Retained for up to 12 months, then anonymised
- Deal click data: Retained for up to 90 days for analytics, then deleted automatically
- Activity summary: Retained as long as your account exists. Deleted when you delete your account
- Price history data: Retained for 30 days for route statistics, then aggregated
- Deleted accounts: All personal data is removed within 30 days of account deletion
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data: View all data we hold about you from your profile page
- Delete your account: Permanently remove your account and all associated data
- Opt out of emails: Unsubscribe from daily deals and marketing emails at any time
- Export your data: Request a copy of your data by contacting us
8. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication, and access controls. However, no system is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, please report it to us immediately.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of significant changes via email. Continued use of StealthFlights after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
